Hello from another Lot et 'Garonner' ;) ! 7 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi
My name is Nancy and I'm a friend of Julie's (post before me). We are members of a toddler group called 'Mums in France' down here in South West France and she called me tonight to tell me that, low and behold, there is a proper website of the same name sake! And WOW, here it is! We get together for music classes and coffee mornings and keep in touch by a group email. It has been such a lifeline.

A bit about me:
My husband and I have lived here for nearly 7.5 yrs. We got married here, bought some land and built our own home where we now live with our two little girls Isabella (4.5yrs) and Chloe 2yrs, oh yes and Lottie the dog!! We are both self employed, he is a builder, and I am a consultant for a fantastic company called Tots to Travel. We are both very happy here (touch wood!) and if anyone would like any advice on marriage, house building, having babies etc in this neck of France, or on a business level - Gite owners who may want to know how to extend your letting season, then please give me a shout I'd be happy to help.

Enchanté

Hi Nancy,
Lauren here, we've met at baby music!...I stumbled across this website while trying to find out if Mums in France had a facebook page, found this instead! How funny three of us have found it in the same week! See you soon,
Lauren

Hiya Lauren, how are you? Long time no see, I haven't been able to get to BB music this year yet, we have been a very sickly lot so didn't want to spread the lurgies. Hope you and the family are faring better than us! Hopefully see you and Rahpael next week at BB music perhaps?

Yep, we'll be there, my new years resolution is to be sociable, so we're doing all we can!! Hope you're all getting over the illness, we had a few months of flu's and bugs at the end of the year, nightmare.

Hi Nancy and Lauren,

Whereabouts are you in Lot and Garonne? I'm in the Lot (near Cahors) and desperately seeking mums and toddler groups nearby.

I'm Hannah and have been here in France for nearly 8 years now. I'm now married to a frenchman and we have 2 daughters, Ines, 3.5 years old and Celeste, 15 months. Ines is now at ecole maternelle 4 days a week but it would be great to meet other mums and give my clingy 15 month old a chance to socialise and speak english!

Hi Hannah

I am north Lot et Garonne- near Castillionnes. The families in the Mums in France group are pretty spread out, but I s'pose the center point is probably Eymet. Have a look on a map, but I think you are quite far away. What a shame! However if you are still interested, email me on simonsfamily@neuf.fr and I can let you know how you can go about joining the group if you want. I think we have some members who are around the Villeneuve sur lot area which may be a bit closer to you? My geography of France is pretty rubbish so I might be wrong

Great to 'meet' you,
Nancy x
